This is the for-trial deposition of Dr. Paula Nicola, an ophthalmologist. Butler | Kahn took the deposition of Dr. Nicola because she was the doctor who ultimately decided that our client’s left eye needed to be removed, and Dr. Nicola performed the surgery to remove the left eye (also known as an evisceration). In this deposition, Dr. Nicola discusses the surgery as well as the effects of losing an eye.
