► Why don't you tell me a little bit about your case?
► Well, the case came about when, after some conversations with a few ladies at the church, I discovered that there was some sexual misconduct that had been happening to a lot of the other ladies at my church. And I decided to share the story that same thing had happened to me. Mine was a case of clergy sexual abuse that started when I was 15 years old. And I had never told anyone, but learning that there were other victims made me want to speak out after I really realized the gravity of what had happened to me when I was so young.
► And who worked with you on the case?
► Jeb did. Jeb started when Morgan joined the team, so it was great to have both of them.
► And what did you think of Jeb and Morgan?
► It was like having my own little dream team tuck beside me. They were just so helpful and they helped me feel just really comfortable talking with them about my case and what I hoped to accomplish. It was just really great having them there because they're just so responsive and really kept me in the loop because it had been going on for quite a while, but there was never a time where I felt in the dark. They were always open with me and made sure that I was up to date and knew what direction we were going to go in every step of way.
► Did your case go all the way to trial?
► It did. Of course we, thankfully Jeb and Morgan did try to do what we could to see if he was willing to settle out of court, but we didn't reach an agreement. Thankfully they wanted to make sure that I was comfortable with something like that. So we ultimately did go to trial.
► Did they try to make you settle your case or were they willing to go to court and go to trial?
► Oh yeah. From the beginning, we were almost like, we want to take this to trial. But of course, if there were some settlement agreements that worked for me, then they were willing to do that. But I could tell that it was totally, the ball was in my court, whatever I decided direction they were going to go in. And we did go to court.
► Did Jeb and Morgan do a good job in front of the jury?
► They were amazing. I tried not to look too much at the jurors, but you could tell they were really captivating for them. They were speaking their language and really connecting with the jury to let them know, look, we want you to understand our client's position and rule in her favor.
► And did the jury rule in your favor?
► Yes. It took definitely less than two hours for them to come back. And we could tell that things were going well. The jury did find judgment in my favor.
► And what was the amount of the verdict?
► It was $500,000 verdict for me.
► Would you recommend Butler Law Firm?
► Definitely. I recommend them over anybody else. It should be your first choice. It'll be one that you won't regret.

► I'm just really grateful for the representation that I had. It was awesome having you all there with me. I really mean it. When I say that it meant a lot to me, to the other ladies who are participating witnesses in my case. And I definitely appreciate you and your heart that you showed during the case. Because there wasn't a whole lot that we had, but you took what we had and you made it into a full case and the jury saw the evidence that you helped present so well. You and Morgan, I'm really grateful for you.
► Well, they liked you a lot better they did us, I think. That is the main thing. So, thank you for working with us. Been an honor to represent you.
