Georgia State Patrol Investigating Fatal Twiggs County Pedestrian Accident Involving Truck on Georgia 96

 TWIGGS COUNTY, GEORGIA (February 16, 2025)—A woman from Jeffersonsville has tragically died in a Twiggs County truck accident on Georgia 96 by E. Main Street.

Twiggs County officials are saying that the collision took place around 6:50 PM on Tuesday. A pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck as she was walking in the roadway.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the crash to help the injured woman. Despite life-saving measures, she later died due to her injuries.

She was later identified as Andrea Anderson. A full investigation into the cause of the collision remains ongoing at this time.
