Investigation Underway After Pedestrian Killed in Car Accident With Pickup Truck Along Highway 20 in Walton County

WALTON COUNTY, GEORGIA (May 13, 2026) – A pedestrian has tragically died in a Walton County car accident along State Route 20.

Walton County officials are saying that the accident took place on Monday night. A pedestrian was attempting to cross the roadway when they were struck by a pickup truck hauling a trailer.

Paramedics were called to the site of the crash to help the victim. Sadly, the pedestrian was beyond medical aid and pronounced dead at the scene.

A full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash remains ongoing at this time.
