Investigation Underway After Pedestrian Died in Lamar County Truck Accident on Highway 341

LAMAR COUNTY, GEORGIA (June 20, 2026) – A pedestrian was seriously injured in a Lamar County car accident along Highway 341 near Academy Drive.

Lamar County officials are saying the accident took place at around 3:00 PM on Monday. A pedestrian was crossing the roadway when they were struck by the passenger-side mirror of a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the collision to help the victim. He was airlifted to Atrium Health Navicent in Macon to receive treatment.

A full investigation of the cause of the accident remains ongoing at this time.
