One Person Killed in Pulaski County Truck Accident

Semi-Truck Transporting Livestock Involved in Deadly Pulaski County Car Accident on State Route 26 by State Route 230

PULASKI COUNTY, GEORGIA (August 24, 2026) – One person has tragically died and another was critically injured in a Pulaski County semi-truck accident on State Route 26.

Pulaski County officials are saying that the collision occurred around 11:05 AM on August 11. Multiple vehicles were involved in the collision, including a pickup truck and a trailer full of livestock.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the collision to help all of the injured victims. One person was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.

Unfortunately, another person died due to the severity of their injuries. Police believe that the driver of the Volvo tractor was attempting to make a left turn on a green light when they were hit by a pickup truck that continued through a red light.

Liability for Pulaski County Truck Accidents

Georgia law requires every driver to obey traffic control devices and exercise due care to avoid collisions with other vehicles. At any signal intersection, drivers must come to a complete stop when approaching a red light. There is a presumption of negligence on the part of any driver that goes past a red light without stopping. Investigators will take into consideration numerous factors when evaluating liability for any collision.

• The speed of all vehicles involved can help determine who may be held responsible for the collision.
• The distance between any two vehicles involved in a crash is also important. Drivers must maintain a safe distance from any vehicle ahead of them.
