Jacksonville Man Arrested Following Fatal Glynn County Truck Accident on Interstate 95 by Mile Marker 42

GLYNN COUNTY, GEORGIA (July 25, 2026) – One driver tragically died in a Glynn County truck accident along Interstate 95 north by mile marker 42.

Glynn County officials are saying that the accident occurred around 5:44 AM on Wednesday, July 14. A Hino box truck was involved in a collision with a Toyota Matrix.

The box truck failed to maintain its own lane of traffic when it was involved in a collision with the Toyota that was parked on the shoulder. The force of the impact caused the driver of the Toyota to be ejected and critically injured.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the crash to help the victim. Sadly, the driver of the Toyota was killed in the collision. His passenger was also injured.

The driver of the box truck has been arrested and is facing charges of vehicular homicide in the second degree.

The truck drivers are expected to use an abundance of caution to avoid colliding with other vehicles. This necessitates that they follow all vehicle and traffic codes.
