Tom grew up in Marietta, Georgia, where he graduated from Walton High School. Tom is a proud “Double Dawg,” having earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Georgia. While in law school, Tom had the opportunity to take part in several jury trials, including those resulting in verdicts in favor of injured individuals. He also interned with the District Attorney’s office serving Athens-Clarke and Oconee counties, and served as an editor of the law school’s Journal of International and Comparative Law.
After graduating from law school, Tom began his practice in southeast Georgia where he advocated on behalf of individuals both in and outside of the courtroom in personal injury, criminal defense, and family law cases. In 2019, he was selected for the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association 2019-2020 Leadership Education & Advanced Direction (LEAD) Program. Tom has dedicated his career to helping others, particularly those harmed by the negligence or wrongful conduct of others. In his spare time, he enjoys running, automotive maintenance, and watching UGA football.
